Prevention
You can only "catch" a cold when your system is weakened in a manner that makes you susceptible, so isn't it smarter to focus on creating a body that's immune rather than worrying about trying to kill all the microbes? If we can do that, we can not only cure colds and flu rapidly, we can also learn to prevent them.
Do flies cause garbage piles? Of course not. Are flies found in garbage piles? Of course, because flies are scavengers and feed off of decaying organic matter. In the same manner, germs are associated with diseased tissue, not because the germs made the tissue weak, but because the germs were drawn to the weak tissue.
1. Clean your internal environment
In doing so you will rarely catch colds, flu or anything else. So, consider doing a cleanse in the fall or early winter to "winterize" your immune system against cold and flu season.
2. Strengthen your Immune System
A strong immune system is your best defense. During high-risk periods, consider immune supports such as:
Elderberry D3fense
Take 2 capsules three times daily, plus 2 capsules before going to bed.
Ultimate Echinacea Liquid
Adults:Take 15–20 drops (1 ml) in water with a meal three times daily.
Children age 6 or older: Take approximately 5–10 drops in water with a meal three times daily.
Immune Stimulator.
For maintenance, take 1 capsule between meals two or three times daily.
For periods of immune system stress, take 6–10 capsules daily.

If You Catch a Cold or Flu
The A+C+B Method
Colds take hold when the body is weakened. To recover faster and avoid relapses, follow A–C–B: Activate, Cleanse, Build.
A — Activate
- At first signs, avoid solid foods, drink plenty of water, and begin herbal activation.
- Children: CC-A with Yerba Santa - ¼–½ tsp every 15–30 minutes with water.
- Adults: Same formula at larger doses. If needed, sip clear broths or diluted vegetable/fruit juices.
C — Cleanse
Support for the elimination systems to shorten the illness
-
Clear the colon
1 Lower Bowel Stimulator + 1 Food Enzymes hourly (up to 7 hours) with water, or try fresh apple/prune juice. This will break down material in the intestines and will usually clear the colon within 2-7 hours
-
Cool a fever
Bitter herbs like Echinacea-Goldenseal or Oregon Grape — ¼–½ tsp hourly.
LB Extract combined with lobelia can also be used to clear the colon and reduce the fever. Use 1/4 teaspoon of LB Extract with 5-10 drops of lobelia every 30-60 minutes until the bowels evacuate.
-
Flush kidneys & lymph
Mix 1 tsp Kidney Drainage + 1 tsp Lymphatic Drainage in a quart of water; sip frequently.
-
Clear the congestion
Seasonal Allergy (ALJ) — 2–4 capsules or Seasonal Allergy Liquid ½ tsp every 2 hours with water. Combine with garlic for lung infections.
When taking Seasonal Allergy, do not expect it to dry up your runny nose or suppress your cough. That is not what it's going to do. On the contrary, you may cough or sneeze a little more at first, but this is just the body clearing out what's bothering it, As soon as it has expelled the irritants, you'll feel a lot better-guaranteed!
-
For Kids
Garlic oil gel cap
Poke a hole in a Garlic Oil gel cap and give the oil to them orally. You can also dilute it with a little massage oil and rub it on their chest.
-
For Adults
Garlic High-Potency
Take one tablet of High Potency Garlic every four hours. Combined with Seasonal Allergy (ALJ), garlic is really effective at eliminating congestion in the lungs.
B — Build
- When symptoms improve, reintroduce food gradually: start with soups, fruits, and cooked vegetables.
- Avoid sugar, dairy, refined grains, and heavy proteins until fully recovered to prevent relapses.
Key Takeaways
- Pre-season cleansing plus wholesome food reduces risk.
- At first signs: hydrate, rest, and use gentle herbal activators — avoid solid food initially.
- Support elimination (colon, kidneys, lymph) to speed recovery.
- Rebuild slowly with light, nutritious foods to prevent relapse.
Note: Herbs and supplements can interact with medications and may not be appropriate for everyone (pregnant/nursing, children, or people with chronic illness). Please consult a healthcare professional if you have concerns.
