Historical Uses:
Male Fern has been used in traditional medicine for the treatment of tumors and worm infections.
It was found to be particularly useful for tapeworms.
It has also been used to treat wounds, ulcers and varicose veins.
In Chinese medicine, Male Fern extracts are used to treat recurrent bloody nose, heavy menstrual bleeding and wounds
Contraindications:
Male Fern should be avoided during pregnancy and in cases of cardiac disease or impaired liver function.
Adverse reactions:
Potential toxicities associated with excessive consumption.
Dosage:
40 to 80 drops two to three times per day (mornings and evenings) until results.
Repeat every six months.
Use with a good bowel management program.
